Another beautiful and rare forest white tea added to our catalog– this one made from a wild varietal of the Assamica tea trees deep in the remote mountains of Y Tý, Lào Cai. You'll noticed the leaves carry an array of beautiful colors– from purple, red, to green.
Harvested by local Dao communities, the leaves are carefully foraged during favorable weather conditions, requiring a journey deep into the forest for a few hours and climbing up towering tea trees.
This particular forest white is crafted by a young tea maker who's craftsmanship and careful production skill that are rooted in rice wine production. Just three years ago, he started tea making. We’ve been following his work closely over the years, continually impressed by his remarkable palate, meticulous processing, and dedication to refining his craft. We’re thrilled to finally be working with him this year to share his teas!
Produced in very small quantities, this special tea offers a deep, lingering sweetness and beautifully long finish. A true expression of the forests from which it comes.
