Our Spring Forest White is back– this time shaped by a very different spring.
2025 Harvest Note
This year’s Spring Forest White comes from a slightly later spring harvest due to early seasonal rains. Expect larger, more wiry leaves and a lighter body, with the same fruit-forward sweetness and long finish you love. Right away we pick up notes of lychee and ripe peach.
A stunning and rare white tea made from wild cousin of the native Assamica varietal tea trees in the forests of Lai Châu. This tea is harvested only once a year and reflects the nuances of each growing season. Known for its striking leaves, deep sweetness, and long, lingering finish, it remains one of our most distinctive forest teas.
Harvesting happens only once a year, in the very early days of spring– usually just after Tết, the Lunar New Year– when weather conditions are at their most ideal. Only then can the local Dao people pick the tea leaves used to make this tea. Forest teas are highly valued due to their limited availability and the demanding process required to harvest them. Collecting this tea involves trekking deep into the forest and climbing tall tea trees to pick purplish-red leaves, making it a labor-intensive and time-consuming endeavor.
