Flavor Profile: ripe juicy peach, earthy and sweet like burdock, hint of black pepper
Production Area: Phong Thổ, Lai Châu, Việt Nam
Harvest: Feb 2024
A stunning and unique tea. Spring Forest White is made from a wild varietal of the widely found and used Assamica varietal (big leaf varietal) in Lai Châu. It's got quite possibly one of the most beautiful and coolest leaves we've come across. The deep sweetness and long finish are also what makes this tea a standout.
Harvesting happens only once a year, very early in the spring season. Only during the best and most ideal weather conditions can the local Dao people pick the tea leaves to make this tea. Forest teas across the board are highly valued and priced due to its limited availability and the demanding process required to harvest it. Collecting this tea involves trekking deep into the forest and climbing tall tea trees to pick the purplish-red leaves, making it a labor-intensive and time-consuming endeavor.
